We have a variety of bondage toys in our collection, including spreader bars similar to what’s pictured in your post.
Spreader bars are useful in orgasm control and similar play. Some are better than others. The ends (next to the ankle cuffs) can be a problem on cheap versions, because if they’re not capped, or polished smooth, they can cut the ankles during struggling.
The adjustable feature is useful, but the ring/pin on most of them is pretty fragile.
They’re great for standing bondage, less useful (because they get in the way) in bed, or in prone positions.

We experimented with a borrowed pair once, but they hurt her, on a trip to Japan we bought these from a shop in Akhiabara, tokyo, they go under the bed mattress and are comfortable if you are playing around in bed. You can DIY with Velcro and straps from a tent if you want to.

i was maybe even thinking of just getting some straps and making one im sure i can weld something up
