Married as a European to a Chinese wife and can confirm this - Im quite open minded and asked her if she would have considered a.black guy, but she said no. Main reasons (apart from maybe the collectice ...... reference ) is the Stigma in Chinese society. When you come back and visit your parents with your boyfriend its a big deal and you want to ace that test (if you know asian culture you know what i mean). White man (UK, French German especially) excerted their dominance to the contient for over 100 yrs and thats quite recent history. Its a love-hate relationship they dread that they got colonialized , however they feel a white man can take good care of them and this extends to the girls parents. This is a very complex topic and. i stop for now otherwise this gets too long^^

i think this is a pretty good summary about the asian mindset.
my wife is chinese (i am asian too, mixed race) and she would readily accept a white man in our bed. not so much black.

it is good you stopped when you did as it can get pretty complicated and ruffle feathers.

Not sure if I mentioned this previously but East Asians do have a thing about skin colour. Heard from Japanese and Chinese that fair(er) skin is an indication of status, especially among older generations. The thinking goes that people with fair skin means you have a well-paying job indoors while people with darker skin toil in the sun all day.

While this mentality is not shared so much by younger people, skin whitening cream flies off the shelves in this part of the world. It is seriously big business.
