At 30, just the thought of wife potentially having a sex date would give me a 24hr hardon and I could think of nothing else. Now at almost 60, its still exciting but nowhere near the same intensity. Barely a twitch in my groins.

Not talking about erection that some would say is definitely age. Maybe at 30, I was at real risk of loosing her to a better man. My feeling of inadequacy also played a role in the mix of feelings. Now, while still inadequate, I know she aint going to live me. (too much money in my 401k!)

Age of course plays a role. Her GYN once said, that for a newly married cople, normal sex was every day. A mid life coupl should be 2-3 per week. and elderly couple, 1 a week.
Same would apply for our lifestyle activities, I think
