I originally <3 that photo, then I realized the one before it "shopping" was AI generated, and the black dress one has all of the hallmarks of being AI generated as well (even if based off a real photo perhaps).

I honestly don't believe you. *Especially* with the shopping photo. Nothing about it is right or natural. The black dress photo is , at the very least, heavily manipulated. Your photographer , if such a person exists, is doing you a disservice. If he was real, that is. I'm a photographer. I digitally edit photos in post to bring out the best in them, and never have they come out looking like THAT. I've also created AI fantasy images, and they ALL end up looking like THAT.
