I understand you. I am a physically strong guy with a good sized dick, and I used to enjoy dominating a few ex's, but I can't do it at all with my wife. She said she misses a dominant lover, then why did she pick me.......

I am like that too but sexually only. Objectively i look good in face and body. Even in business and socialisation i am quite dominant. Sexually also, i was always popular with women, somehow they always wanted to dominate me. It is no different with love of my life now. Whatever about the terminology, I just am not comfortable anymore trying to be dominant with my wife.
It's even more difficult since she admitted how much she loved "totally surrendering" to her two best lovers from her past. Since hearing this recently after being together for 20 year's I subconsciously and eventually consciously decided that there is no point anymore trying to be dominant with her. That role is not for me. I told her she can take another lover to fill that role.

A lot of assertive, good looking men with high powered jobs like to flip 180 degrees when they get home and have their wife or gf take charge. I think it's a means for them to distance themselves from the demanding responsibilities and constant decision making at work. It's relaxing and de stressing to be told what to do for a change and let the wife take charge. Following orders instead of giving them. Perhaps for some women the opposite is true.
