I think it definitely takes some time to get used to the idea. Especially since I think most women would never expect this kind of answer or desire from their husband or boyfriend. My husband brought it up when we were still dating. We were living together in another state and didn't really know a lot of people. We had been doing a lot of exploring with each other (basically like stuff we'd never done with other partners, like some light BDSM, watching porn together, stuff like that).

As part of our exploring we were talking a lot about fantasies and the idea of group sex and threesomes came up a lot (for both of us actually). One day he told me that he wanted to sit down and really talk about fulfilling a fantasy. Generally speaking, most women are much more jealous and possessive of their husbands than husbands are of their wives - if not in actual practice, then at least in thought / fantasy / role-playing. The majority of men find the thought of their wives / GF's having wild, passionate sex with another guy to be extremely arousing. This may be because of the scientific theory of "sperm competition" between males competing for the chance to mate with a certain female. Maybe it's a biological, instinctive sort of competitive attraction that we guys have to see our ladies attracted to other guys? Who knows for sure.
