Black people and brown skinned people are that color because of dark skin pigment that protected them from the sun… darker and darker skin evolved as tribes located closer to the equator.
Racist white people (and other white people) have much lighter skin coloring due to migrating out of Africa towards the poles. All homo sapiens (and all other humanoid species genus homo) originated from Africa.
