Does age matter?

Hey all,
So this has become a thing, the wife and I are in our mid 50’s and have always arranged play dates with couples within our own age group.
As of late we have been contacted (via swing groups we belong to) by couples ranging early 20’s to early 30’s
Although flattering the wife And I like closer to our own age. Personally I find it easier with a hell of a lot less drama.
Anyone else gone through this as well?
