I think your husband is a wise man. He obviously loves you very much and knows that you would feel awkward with him being there. I believe that you would like him to be there so you were sure he was ok with it, again because you love him, his feelings are of paramount importance to you. My wife and I were like this at the start she really had to be convinced that I was ok with it. I managed to convince her and now after many times we love each other even more. I also believe your husband would be a bit uncomfortable being there for the first few times. You need to get to know this guy first. Meet a few times on your own and then progress to the bedroom. Then your boyfriend would be comfortable and then your husband could watch if that is what you both want. My wife started with her ex, she found this easier because they had been intimate before, mind you that was 20 years before. Good luck, I know you both will be richer for the experience, and love each other even more, as we do.

I've been off the forum for a while, but I like how this started. Hopefully, there is an update, since this post was made a few months ago.
I did this for my husband. It was with a guy he met at a auto repair shop. He was the main mechanic there and did some work on my car. We all became friends and started hanging out together.
