What worked best for us was my wife having a long term BF. Or as some put it, FWB. Playing this way satisfied her sexual and emotional needs and addressed one of the most difficult challenges of expanding the boundaries of our marital sex lives: the logistics. A couple where both work full time, commute to work, and have kids still living at home has to be very creative. A flexible, reliable and consistent BF who is also available and trusted makes the logistics of it all much easier. We love mfm (or, as my wife sees things 3 plus me), but getting everyone together is something else. One regular man whom she loves to be with (yes, she has to have "a connection" ) and who fits into our lives has been our sweet spot. Once or twice a month has always been the best we could do. And when on vacation, we always try to find some "spontaneous" fun.
