Spot on! After 40 years I still get jealous every time she takes a lover. Though I eagerly help her vet her men, deep inside my stomach churns and I'm overcome with a plethora of mixed emotions that run the gamut from jealousy to excitement to anticipation to lust. This continues as we do our "dance": vet the potential lover with texts-emails-phone calls; schedule a social meeting; shop for something sexy to wear; help her prepare for the date; join them for dinner or drinks; and escort her to their place of lovemaking - usually a resort suite or hotel room I reserved. I wait outside usually - have only watched once in all these years. The waiting is the hardest part. Thinking (knowing) what she's doing with him and watching the time slowly pass for when I can hear all the details.

Thanks. My jealousy is getting better the more I analyze and rationalize it.
It's mostly stemming from immaturity and pathological thinking. For example, I'll get resentful about something like her being too tired to fuck or about being bored by the constraints of parenthood and suburban life, and I'll sulk about it. That resentment about having to allay my desires for a moment quickly gets converted into animosity about what she gets and I don't get (namely extramarital sex).
It's childish and toxic, but I'm working on realizing that in the moment and managing it better.

I ALWAYS wait at home while my wife visits her boyfriend. In fact, I've only joined them ONCE for a 3Some( my wife is the one who wanted the 3Some) in the 6 years they've been dating. Her boyfriend was totally awkward and insecure, which absolutely killed the mood for my wife (and me too).
