This is an oft asked question and I can see that the conversation has also evolved somewhat too, so I hope I'm on the right track with this. I have been here about 18 months but in the lifestyle on and off since I was in my late 20s.
I came here originally to trib, as it was specifically advertised as such. There is a whole forum dedicated to this - and the subject even pops up regularly in other forums. Men want to show off their wives/gfs and hotwives/gfs want to do it too. Outwardly, that would appear to be great but it requires a lot of filtering. I often get asked why it takes so long for me to trib. Aside from the fact that I do get a lot of requests, one of the reasons is I do my checks.
I don't want to spend time sifting through profiles and trawling the internet but I have to, because experience has taught me that there will be a problem with one-in-three new requests. It's either a fake, porn, illegal, stolen pics from another profile, or a hitter-and-quitter (someone who lights up the forum looking for tribs, then fucks off tout suite).
This is unfortunately all part of the lifestyle, even in the real world (and I use a different website geared towards this for real world meets). Most opportunities I've had have not made it to the bedroom because something somewhere along the way has triggered an internal alarm and one party backs off. But those that have made it more than make up for the false starts.
Having gone through many of the threads in depth, there are many people hiding behind a persona, ie not genuine, but this mirrors the internet as a whole. Online communication has facilitated cyber warriors who talk themselves up behind the veil of anonymity. Meanwhile, there are lots of genuine members who think they're going to instantly find what they want with a casual one-liner and the thought that what they want will just drop into their lap. Some people join with completely the wrong expectation of what the site has to offer (the clue is in the name). WW2P, like most other things in life, works when you put time and effort into it.
Yes, filtering out the fakes and time-wasters is tedious but the rewards are worth it. I have "met" a number of people (men and women) here who are genuine and we talk regularly. Yes, I'm here to trib (the reasons why can be found here:

I've even had offers to meet in person, if only we didn't live on opposite sides of the planet. This was something I didn't expect but value nonetheless.
