Exactly opposite, monogamy is fundamental if you want to live in a balanced society. In the societies you talk about often men become sexually frustrated since women want to fuck only high status men or well endowed guys. Therefore, men start boycotting the government and bring it to collapse

Are you able to cite an example of this phenomenon, or is it merely conjecture? I'm not readily able to find existence proof of cases where governments have been collapsed by non-monogamy.

What do we mean by monogamy - the respectable face we may show to the outside world (or at least to certain parts of it) so we fit in to what society considers normal for the sake of our careers or some of our relationships with family and friends OR are we talking about what really goes on in our personal lives? If the latter were true, I guess none of us would be on a site like this.
The fact is that society has sexual values that are considered the norm or at least to be aspired to. The reality, as shown in many studies is that a significant percentage of people cheat or have affairs or engage in non traditional relationships that may range from swinging, having a lover on the side, or to one or both parties having the freedom to fuck whoever they like.
I think there is a massive mismatch between what society pretends is the norm and what is actually true xx

The modern day is very different then the past. First of all the majority of the world it's still monogamous. In Muslim countries the men that have more than a wife are responsible to their financial situation, they cannot just fuck and leave. The societies that are extremely progressive socially where women have sexual freedom, automatically generated a group of men who gets nothing and start hating women (INCEL). In those cases women don't feel pressured to have a man because the government offer various financial support from the money of the citizens (tax payers).
