Now the request for suggestions. What do you think I should do to move this forward? On one hand, she's pretty conservative and I naturally assumed she would be horrified about the thought. Based on her comment, maybe I was wrong. Still, If I ask what she meant by her friend hooking her up with some guy, that sounds accusatory. She'd probably regret she ever mentioned it and blow it off as something I just misunderstood. Like, "No, she never suggested anything of the sort. We were talking about someone who could help me with my web design." Which, now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if it's as innocent as that.
On the other hand, if it was more along the lines of a lover, I would find it pretty erotic and would like to encourage her, without seeming pushy, wimpy, or a pest.
Which brings me here. I'm hoping you folks can give me some suggestions. Sure, you're probably going to say, "Look, if it's what you want, and you've been married 20 years, you certainly should be able to talk to her. Just ask." I'm thinking though something along the lines of "the other day when you said your friend wanted to hook you up with that guy... Just saying...
