Since this post is called “China Thread”, I will share another encounter in China. Some years back I was sent by my company to a city in China to attend a conference. The first night after attending a dinner, as I stepped into my hotel room, the phone rang. I was surprised and asked what he meant and the caller said he meant sexual services provided to ladies by men. Out of curiosity I said okay. This happened in the late 90s. I believe there is no more such solicitations nowadays.
